Set the BPM to 92. You can click and drag up or down with the mouse to change the BPM, or click once, then type in a BPM with your keyboard.

Click and drag across the arrangement timeline to select a range of time from the beginning of Bar 1 to the beginning of Bar 2; then, right click or control + click to bring up the menu, and choose Insert Empty MIDI Clip.

You can use Draw Mode (the pencil tool) to draw in notes with a single click. Activate the Draw Mode with the pencil icon on the top right, or by pressing B on your keyboard.

Double click on the top of your MIDI Clip (you will see a small hand icon appear) to show the piano roll at the bottom of Live's screen.

In the piano roll, you will see a 16th note grid, and a small indicator of what the grid note value is on the top right.

Draw an 1/8th pattern on Hihat closed LDre 1 note lane in your MIDI clip piano roll.
